My 1980 trip to San Francisco was in June, a job hunting trip after graduation. Since 1980 was in the midst of a recession, I evidently had plenty of time for site seeing. This is still using the Ricoh SLR with Kodachrome film. The scan was converted to Black and White.

For some reason I’ve always thought of On the Road when I look at this picture. Maybe I was hoping Jack and Neal were still hanging around San Francisco in the Seventies. I’ve posted a different version of this same photo before, but thought it needed to follow yesterday’s shots from the same trip.
San Francisco 1978 – Transamerica Pyramid
1978’s skyline was quite different from now. I was using a Ricoh TLS 35mm SLR with Kodachrome film. The slides have been scanned and converted to Black and White.
