An early start…

This edition of photos on film is from a relatively old roll of Ferrania P30 that I shot last month, but there’s no date on the box. I think I solved the problems I was having with the Minolta x700: new batteries! No post-editing, just the scans that came back from the lab. Enough chatter…

  1. I love this half frame.
but personally i cant rely on the lab’s scans. Send your negatives to 2 different labs and you will get 2 sets of different images not the same in brightness and contrasts. Just saying .

  2. I’ve been using different film each time, so there’s nothing consistent about my approach to film 😉. In the past I’ve done my own scanning so it’s been out of curiosity that I’ve had the lab do it. Let me know what you think after this week’s posts.

  3. I’ve been scanning with an Epson 4490 for about 15 years, and rarely make any adjustments to the settings, relying on editing software to get something I like. I’m probably missing a lot, but blissfully ignorant for the moment. I haven’t set up my scanner for the iMac I’ve had a for a year, just lazy, as well as ignorant! Now that the film bug has bitten once again, I need to follow through with using the scanner, or deciding if it’s time to upgrade. Thanks for weighing in, I appreciate your following!
