  1. Looks like Kiyomizu-Zaka Street in Kyoto on the way to Kiyomizu temple. Before the Tokugawa shogunate this temple was feared for its fighting monks. The temple is about seven stories high, not one nail, all joinery. By chance did you take photos at Nanzen-ji? Interesting to put Ikebana arrangement in the store window display.

  2. I believe we did visit it, but I’ll have check my photos. That trip was 14 years ago 😁. We’re in your neighborhood this week, in San Francisco!
