There’s really not much in Lenox itself, but its the center of so much music, dance, theatre and visual art. Its a nice little town, but just one of many in the Berkshires. 2 hours is nothing to someone on the west coast but know it’s different on the east coast 😁
“Now the first of December was covered with snow
And so was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston
Now the Berkshires, they seemed dream-like on account of that frosting
With ten miles behind me, and ten thousand more to go, you know.
Deep greens and blues for the colors I choose
Won’t you let me go down in my dreams?
Oh rockabye, oh sweet baby James .”
I remember driving that road from Stockbridge to Boston . One the afternoon was slowly coming to a close a past girlfriend and I saw Big Mama Thornton play harmonica and Van Morrison squeeze out his heart over the break up of his marriage one such afternoon at Lennox, that must have been 50 years ago.
It seems like a hundred thousand miles since then, but here in California while I never miss the snow I do miss the rain in the Berkshires.
Nice action shot! I tried to guess the decade, based on clothing and hairstyles, but couldn’t.

Lenox is just far enough from where I live that I haven’t been there. At least two hours by interstate. Is it worth the drive?

We’re even starting to miss rain here in the Pacific Northwest!
