This is an Australian painting by Fredrick McCubbin called The Pioneer. It looks to be a very good quality reproduction. I wonder why it was disposed of in this way? Or was it just a temporary thing whilst being moved to a new location?
Hi Kate, no idea why it was there! It was gone the next day I recall. They may been having a rummage / tag sale, and someone bought more than they could carry in one trip 🤔
